CLOSER THAN YOU THINK Aryana looked over to Magnus who seemed content at whatever he was doing. She paid no mind as she gazed back to the water tower, contemplating if it were truly a better place to be at rather than the apartment she had lived in since she had moved to this glorious land of New York City. However, glorious could not be the definition of New York City's current state, for it was now partly destroyed leaving only a few original landmarks standing.
She turned her gaze over to Jagd, he was a strange man to say the least, but company was company and she couldn't really do anything about that. She shrugged at his first comment, not really answering his first question since her mind had wandered off elsewhere. However, his second remark was something she couldn't let slide.
"I work with students only part time, yes; however I do not do such things." She told him as she stared, narrowing her eyes as she beamed a look back. Then her facial expression relaxed and she leaned back propping the palms of her hands to the back of the bolder she was sitting on and gazed up at the sky.

"Ah, I can see where your enveloping compassion and empathy would prevent you from performing such an action." Jagd says, nodding wisely. "I apologize for infringing upon your sense of dignity and fair play where related to your integrity as an educator."
He flips up to his feet in one smooth, rolling motion, shucking dust from his pants with the kinetic shock, and whistles to Magnus, who pokes his head up and stretches, shaking out the kinks in his joints. "I'mma go do my evening sweep of the park." the scarred man says, scooping up a thick canvas satchel from a nearby crate and slinging it over his shoulder. "Care to come along?"
